A massive fire gutted 20 houses in Gg. Sodong Timur 3 and 4, RT 04/17, Cipinang Urban Village, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, Tuesday (3/10). The incident triggered by electrical short-circuit was first seen from one of the citizens' house named Lasmini (57) around 11 AM.

Locals tried to put out the flames using the sober tools, but they failed. Due to this incident, as many as 60 families were forced to fled.
"When the fire grew up, Mrs. Lasmini only focused on her valuables. We then forced her to get away to rescue her life," he told.
Head of Operation Section for East Jakarta Fire and Rescue Handling Sub-Department, Moelyanto revealed his sub-department has deployed 20 fire trucks to put out the flames.
